“Blue Schematics” began with an attempt to make a grid from hair. As I lay the hair down on the press and pull it into linear formations, its unruliness escapes. The strands slip out of my fingers, it knots and twists and resists taming. It seems a fitting metaphor for dis-orderliness when the body comes to play.
